“Have to tell you, Sofie’s choreographer for her dance solo is also her ballet and pointe teacher. After her solo practice tonight she commented on how much better Sofie’s turns look. I mentioned the core exercises you had her doing and that I thought her spins in baton looked a lot cleaner too. Then her ballet teacher had a lightbulb moment and was like oh, that’s why she looked SO much better en pointe tonight! Definitely think it’s making a difference over here!”

“I love that you are looking out for the baton twirler! In my youth, I was twirled in competition for over 10 years. In the summer, I practiced at least 6-8 hours a day. During school, I practiced after homework for up to 2.5 hours. I must say, that as a 62 year old woman, I see the effects of that twirling now. I have bone spurs in both thumb joints (finger rolls) and my ankles. I have had thumb joint surgery and injections. Excessive marching in parades and in competitions with poorly built shoes & boots have left their mark on my feet & heels. I was a champion, but my joints took a beating. I see now, that there are conditioning programs and people like you watching out for the twirlers. All I can say is, thank you.”
